Introduction
By the end of last year, 21,550 new cases of ovarian cancer (OC) were diagnosed in the United States and almost 75% of these were diagnosed when in advanced stage. In this audiocast, six world-renowned experts discuss the current state of the art for treatment of these patients in the first-line and refractory settings and review recent data presented at the 2010 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting. The clinical relevance of the data is highlighted and practical recommendations are provided on choosing the most appropriate initial therapy, whether targeted agents should be used singly or in combination, managing targeted agent toxicities, and the role of maintenance therapy.
