Asher Chanan-Khan, MD is an associate professor of oncology in the division of lymphoma/myeloma at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Dr Chanan-Khan received his MD from the Allama Iqbal Medical College at Punjab University in Pakistan, completed his residency training in internal medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center, and fellowships in clinical hematology and clinical oncology at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr Chanan-Khan’s research interests include development of novel therapies for multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Dr Chanan-Khan is a diplomat with the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He was the recipient of a Certificate of Excellence from Columbia University, the Patient Services Award from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the America’s Top Doctors for Cancer Award. He serves on the multiple myeloma national guidelines committee of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Dr Chanan-Khan has authored or coauthored several journal publications, book chapters, and abstracts.
